Fun Fall Days

We have been having a wonderful Fall so far. Zach is at a very fun age where he is noticing the trees changing "Mommy, look at those beautiful trees-they are red now!" He is also very excited about the pumpkins sitting on our porch...he rearranges them every time we come and go from the house. We are also highly anticipating Halloween as he has requested to be a fireman this year-we have picked out the costume and he is sure to let us know that he is going to take his bucket to the doors and say "Trick-or-Treat." So much fun! We are trying to find a balance between getting everything prepared for our newest family member- who is due in a week (!!!!)- and enjoying our last few weeks of having just one little guy to focus our attention on. Each day, as we anticipate the baby's arrival we are in awe that we are actually being blessed with another child who we will love just as much, yet will be completely different than Zach. We have such a strong bond with Zach that it seems strange to think of someone else joining our club, but as I feel these sweet little kicks inside and anticipate holding that tiny warm body, I am certain that there is a special place in our little club for this precious new child. Stay tuned...I have the camera cord packed in the hospital bag so hopefully we will be able to update this site quickly with pictures! Enjoy a few fun pictures from our Fall so far. This will probably be the last post with just one star of the show!
Spinning in the field during the fall picnic at church
First day of Mom's Day Out- We are both loving our Tuesday mornings. Zach loves "school" and comes home with beautiful art work that is already filling the playroom walls. He also learns new songs that we practice singing everyday and is making lots of sweet little friends. I am loving all the free time to be productive and get things done that I know Zach would not be excited to do with me. This week I even got a pedicure. You know, it is very important to have beautiful toes for the hospital, right?
Showing off his new Thomas backpack.
He didn't waste a minute before he jumped in and started playing with the cars in his classroom. I was trying to introduce him to his teacher and show him where his things would be if he needed anything but he could not be bothered. I am relieved though that there were not first day tears!
Meeting some friends and getting acquainted with the classroom.
Apple picking with friends at Homestead Farms.

Checking out the farm animals with his little buddy Charlotte.
