Saturday with Lincoln

On Saturday afternoon we went down to DC to hang out with Ali and Matt and meet their new puppy Lincoln. He is such a precious puppy and it was fun to spend the afternoon with them. We played in the park and even ate and Spikes new restaurant (from the show Top Chef). It was delicious!

On the way home he stopped to smell ALL of the flowers!

Apple Picking

There are many wonderful things about living on the east coast. Four beautiful seasons to celebrate are one of the aspects that we love most. Today we took advantage of fall (or almost fall) and went apple picking with some of our friends. Zach had a great time and this afternoon we are going to make applesauce! Well, actually, Zach will probably play in the sink while I make applesauce.

It took us awhile to get back to the orchards because we needed to watch the amazing hammering that was happening. You can't tell from this picture, but he was hammering along with them the whole time!

Such a big helper
Here mom, found a great one
Checking for some nice ones under the trees

Running through the orchards
I wouldn't exactly say he had an eye for the good ones!

Sweet little hand!
At the petting zoo
I love this one because if you look closely you can see that he is pretending to be interested in the goats, but is really checking out the tractor out of the corner of his eye!
Lets just be honest...this is the good stuff!

We Are Blessed!

I have been so thankful lately for all that God has blessed us with. We are so thankful that we are Zach's parents and that we get to spend time with him everyday and watch him learn, grow, explore, and experience the joys around him. I am so thankful for my amazing husband who works so hard and selflessly cares for both Zach and I everyday. For those of you who dont know he is now the only pastor at our church which is a huge job, but he is handling it in such a graceful way. Not only that, but he is an inspiring preacher and I am blessed to learn from him each week. I am thankful that God has provided us with such wonderful family and friends all over the country and I am so grateful that each are a part of our lives and we are a part of theirs. I am finally so thankful (I promise I am wrapping up!) for the opportunity to be a part of this pastoral counseling program and to be able to learn such important skills and grow in such a significant way. I am truly so thankful for you too, thanks for reading!
Here are some pictures of the past few months adventures:
He ran into the living room from the kitchen to look out the window
and watch the ride-on-lawn-mower across the street.
Still intrigued
Making sure I can see it too
