More Pictures

I just downloaded some pictures off of my sister's camera and they had some cute little Zach faces so I posted a few.

We took Zach to the movies and he did great...he slept the whole time and was still asleep when we got home...again proving to be completely portable and able to go with the flow:

Zach's first baseball game! We took the metro to DC to see the Nationals play the Tigers...Zach of course did great. He was his usual cute, happy self even after a morning of painful shots and later on he slept through all of the screaming and cheering and charmed everyone on the metro all the way home.

With Aunt Malia...Zach is popping his head out of one of his favorite places...his cozy little sling.

Finally Some New Pictures

We just got home from Zach's 2 month check up...he is 12lbs and 23 inches long. His Dr. said he is growing and developing very well. The only down side was that he had to have 5 shots. That was a very traumatic experience, but mostly for me. Zach and I both cried, but Andy stayed strong. He has been sleeping all afternoon though and seems to not be in any pain at this point. As I was downloading these pictures I realized I didn't have any of his new wonderful social smile. We have been video taping all of his smiles, giggles, and cooing sounds but haven't gotten any great regular pictures yet. I will be working on that. We leave for two different consecutive trips on Sunday and will be gone for two weeks. We are going back up to Princeton to visit friends and meet some more new babies and then to Bethany Beach for a week. We are very excited and will hopefully have some great pictures of Zach's first time on the beach when we get home. Here are a few from the last few weeks though.

We decided sleeping was more important than packing:

Cute little feet:

Hanging out with Aunt Malia on moving day:

We took a trip to Annapolis for Andy's birthday...it was our first time there and we loved it:

8 weeks

Just a quick update...things are finally starting to settle down from the move and the new house is starting to feel like home already. We feel so blessed to be here and as I suspected Zach and Maggie are loving it as well. Zach of course would have been happy anywhere as long as we brought along his swing. The big things in his life right now are that he discovered his hands...he has been enthusiastically sucking on them since the day he was born, but now he can do so intentionally and makes the effort to get his thumb in his mouth. When he gets his whole thumb in there he chokes himself, so he has learned to tuck his thumb in and suck only on his knuckle. The other day I watched him hold his hand up in front of his face and study it as though he finally figured out it belonged to him. It was very cute. He is also starting to make cooing sounds as if he is trying to talk to us. My sister is visiting this week and is being a wonderful auntie! I will get new pictures up soon!
